This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in both new hire and annual Quality reviews, conducted either onsite or remotely.
• Take part in monthly departmental conference calls and client meetings, which may involve presenting educational topics and trends related to Oncology.
• Maintain certification and membership with NCRA, in addition to relevant state association memberships.
• Contribute to Savista’s Compliance Program by following policies and procedures related to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and other applicable laws governing Savista’s business practices.
• Collaborate with the QA Team to fulfill all assigned tasks.
• Consistently achieve an abstracting accuracy rate of 95%.
• Meet an abstracting productivity standard of 1.55 hours per case.
• Complete weekly productivity reports and finalize time cards at the conclusion of each workweek.
• Provide required data to the State Central Registry and National Cancer Data Base upon manager's request.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a Tumor Registrar (ODS-C) and active membership in the national and/or local cancer registrar association.
• At least 2 years of abstracting experience or attainment of ODS-C or ODS-Cs with 2+ years of abstracting experience alongside a non-passing score on the Abstractor PET Exam.
• Proficiency with STORES and AJCC Staging is mandatory.
• Familiarity with all 2018 data collection changes across all standard setters.
• Recent experience in abstracting that meets established productivity standards and accuracy benchmarks.
• Effective communication skills in diverse settings, including interactions with colleagues, medical staff, and other departments within the facility.
• Competence in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to utilize various email and Internet applications.
• A college degree or a degree in an allied health field is preferred; completion of courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology is required.
• Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Traveling Registry Associates must have the ability to travel without restrictions.
