This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct clinical data abstraction for both reportable and non-reportable primary cancer sites.
• Maintain an active ODS-C certification while adhering to productivity standards and quality benchmarks.
• Review electronic medical records (EMR) to identify cancer cases and extract relevant details into specialized medical software.
• Monitor patients' health, treatment, and disease progression.
• Ensure the accuracy of data and engage in quality assurance reviews.
• Oversee databases, generate reports, and contribute to special projects.
• Possession of an active ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist – Certified) credential.
• Familiarity with the most recent guidelines from standard-setting organizations (CoC, SEER, and NAACCR).
• At least 2 years of current experience in abstracting for a cancer registry.
• Background in CoC-accredited or comprehensive cancer programs.
• Access to high-speed internet and experience with remote access, configuration, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
