O&M Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sourcing commodity teams by interpreting business requirements (SOWs) to inform the commodity strategy.

• Spearhead the implementation of the O&M sourcing strategy at the Naama, Boutlelis, and Mostaganem sites, creating a competitive edge through strategic supplier initiatives, selection, development, and consolidation to achieve optimal business performance.

• Assist with sourcing-specific ERP systems like Oracle and PowerMax, along with tool data entry.

• Assess and enhance processes.

• Engage in special initiatives utilizing Lean/Kaizen methodology and lead system implementations.

• Deploy supply chain optimization initiatives in alignment with the strategies of the Commodity and Initiatives teams (e.g., localization, BCC).

• Oversee weekly operating rhythms and KPI reviews with leadership.

• Regularly collaborate with SQE teams to ensure quality, delivery, and performance requirements are fulfilled and that improvement strategies are enacted.

• Manage the purchasing base, with full accountability for achieving deflation (savings), usage, cash, and preferred supplier targets.

• Oversee the daily execution of the local procurement process and manage purchase orders until completion.

• Understand and ensure compliance with business-specific regulatory requirements, global operations standards, and quality, delivery, and cost expectations.

• Manage operational relationships with suppliers, organizing EHS seminars and boot camps to reinforce GE standards and procedures.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to effectively implement business solutions; this position is based in Oran with occasional travel to the Head office in Algiers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma.

• At least 2 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain within the Power Generation, Power Plant Construction, or Oil & Gas industries.

• Proficiency in English, Arabic, and French is essential.

• Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings within the country.
