O&M Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with commodity sourcing teams by interpreting business requirements (SOWs) to inform the commodity strategy.

• Spearhead the implementation of the O&M sourcing strategy at the Naama, Boutlelis, and Mostaganem locations; create a competitive edge by advancing strategic supplier initiatives, selection, development, and consolidation to achieve optimal business performance.

• Assist with sourcing-specific ERP systems such as Oracle and PowerMax, including data entry and process enhancement.

• Engage in special projects utilizing Lean/Kaizen methodologies and oversee system implementation.

• Execute supply chain optimization initiatives in alignment with the strategies of the Commodity and Initiatives teams (e.g., localization, BCC).

• Oversee weekly operating rhythms and KPI reviews with leadership.

• Maintain regular collaboration with SQE teams to ensure quality, delivery, and performance standards are met and improvement strategies are executed.

• Manage the purchasing portfolio with full accountability for achieving deflation (savings), usage, cash flow, and preferred supplier objectives.

• Take ownership of the daily execution of the local procurement process and oversee the management of purchase orders until completion.

• Understand and ensure compliance with business-specific regulatory requirements, global operations standards, and expectations for quality, delivery, and cost.

• Manage operational relationships with suppliers, and organize EHS seminars and bootcamps to reinforce GE standards and procedures.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to effectively implement business solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma.

• At least 2 years of experience in sourcing/supply chain within the Power Generation, Power Plant Construction, or Oil & Gas industries.

• Proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic and French is essential.

• Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings within the country.
