This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Diagnose and resolve daily project system issues to achieve uptime objectives.
• Comprehend hourly production output goals and, if there's a risk of not meeting them, implement corrective actions or elevate the matter.
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and carry out routine maintenance (PMs, start-up tests, etc.) on equipment, determining when and what type of maintenance is necessary before escalating issues to the Operations & Maintenance Manager.
• Recognize potential issues and propose changes or corrective measures.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members, subcontractors, and other departments to enhance system performance, improve product quality, and reduce maintenance costs.
• Communicate effectively across all relevant organizational areas to resolve plant-related issues.
• Ensure that CMMS work orders are fully completed and audit events and warranty claims within the CMMS system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve various project system issues, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, communication equipment, trackers, etc.
• Provide training in machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to operators and other personnel as required.
• Create standard operating procedures for maintenance and operations.
• Assist with project commissioning and testing by providing expertise and knowledge.
• Oversee on-site project planning, installation, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing.
• Attend and engage in all assigned training sessions related to safety, environmental concerns, and other designated areas.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• College degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy (solar, wind, or similar).
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Strong safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work outside of regular daytime hours (8 AM to 5 PM) including nights and weekends to respond to emergency service or project equipment issues.
• Willingness to travel; currently, all project locations are within Sicily, Italy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Extensive knowledge of local regulations applicable to the PV Sites in operation.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
