Offshore ROV Tooling Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assisting with offshore ROV tooling operations and subsea intervention projects from the start of mobilisation to the conclusion of demobilisation.

• Commissioning, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a diverse array of ROV tooling equipment both offshore and at client locations.

• Identifying and resolving issues related to hydraulic, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic equipment to reduce downtime.

• Providing technical support and expertise to offshore personnel, clients, and project teams.

• Preparing tooling packages and ensuring all equipment is operational and ready for deployment.

• Contributing to the enhancement and ongoing improvement of tooling systems, operational processes, and service delivery.

• Mentoring and assisting the development of ROV Tooling Technicians through practical guidance and knowledge sharing.

• Maintaining precise technical documentation while ensuring adherence to HSEQ standards and industry regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A qualification in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience in the industry.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of ROV tooling equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of ROV tooling systems, including torque tools, valve packs, cutters, LAOTs, and IHPUs.

• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, including fault diagnosis and interpretation of schematics.

• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, documentation, and operational procedures.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to perform effectively in challenging offshore conditions.

• Outstanding communication skills and the confidence to collaborate closely with clients, offshore teams, and project groups.

• Experience with electrical systems and fault-finding is considered advantageous.
