Occupational Therapist Registered – OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing capabilities, and functional abilities.

• Create personalized treatment plans and objectives in partnership with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Apply evidence-based occupational therapy strategies to meet the unique needs of students and enhance skill development.

• Track and document the progress of students toward their goals, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer guidance and support to teachers and other educational personnel regarding methods that enhance students' engagement and success in the classroom.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to address the academic and functional requirements of students.

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the formulation of students' educational plans.

• Ensure the maintenance of precise and timely documentation for therapy sessions, progress reports, and other essential paperwork.

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students from PreK-12 to aid in achieving developmental, educational, and functional objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Possession of a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you reside and practice.

• Registration with the National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required.

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience in delivering occupational therapy services within a school or pediatric context.

• Familiarity with assessment tools and therapeutic techniques typically utilized in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Competence in computer usage, including email and Microsoft Teams.

• Experience with teletherapy is preferred.

• Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and other therapeutic approaches is a plus.

• Capacity to sit for extended periods while using a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
