Occupational Therapist Registered, OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities.

• Create tailored treatment plans and objectives in partnership with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Apply evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of students and foster skill enhancement.

• Track and document students' progress towards their objectives, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer guidance and support to teachers and other educational personnel on strategies to enhance students' participation and success in the classroom.

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for students' academic and functional requirements.

• Take part in IEP meetings and assist in formulating students' educational plans.

• Keep precise and timely records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other essential documentation.

• Deliver occupational therapy services to PreK-12 students to assist them in achieving developmental, educational, and functional objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Must possess a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you are practicing.

• Must be registered with the National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in an online environment.

• Experience in providing occupational therapy services within a school or pediatric context.

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques frequently utilized in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Competent in computer skills, including email and Microsoft Teams.

• Familiarity with teletherapy practices.

• Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic methods (preferred).

• Capability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Occasionally capable of standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
