Occupational Therapist Registered – OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a virtual environment

• Perform thorough evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities

• Create personalized treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel

• Apply evidence-based occupational therapy techniques

• Track and document students' advancement, modifying intervention plans as necessary

• Advise teachers and school staff on methods to enhance classroom participation and success

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to meet students' academic and functional requirements

• Engage in IEP meetings and assist in shaping students' educational strategies

• Ensure timely and precise therapy documentation, progress reports, and necessary paperwork

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline

• Must possess a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in your state of residence and practice

• Must be registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

• Enthusiastic about providing services to K-12 students in a virtual format

• Experience in delivering occupational therapy in a school or pediatric setting

• Skilled in assessment tools and therapeutic methods frequently utilized in pediatric occupational therapy

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational staff

• Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail

• Proficient in computer usage, including email and Microsoft Teams

• Background in teletherapy

• Familiarity with sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and additional therapeutic approaches (preferred)

• Capability to remain seated for prolonged periods and utilize a computer keyboard and mouse

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

• Capacity to occasionally stand, walk, reach, and lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds
