Occupational Therapist Registered, OTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities.

• Create personalized treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel.

• Execute evidence-based interventions in occupational therapy.

• Track and document student progress, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer consultation and support to educators and school staff.

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to address students' academic and functional requirements.

• Take part in IEP meetings and assist in the development of students' educational plans.

• Keep precise and timely records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and essential documentation.

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a virtual format.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Must possess a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you are practicing.

• Must be registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience in providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric context.

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques typically utilized in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Competent in computer skills, including email and Microsoft Teams.

• Experience with teletherapy.

• Familiarity with sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and other therapeutic modalities (preferred).

• Capacity to sit for extended durations and use a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
