Occupational Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess patients’ functional capabilities and home settings to pinpoint needs and safety issues.

• Create individualized treatment plans and convey them to physicians and the care team.

• Instruct and assist patients in daily living activities impacted by illness or injury.

• Suggest and guide patients on the use of adaptive equipment, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.

• Keep precise clinical documentation and promptly report any changes in patient condition.

• Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure smooth, patient-focused care.

• Inform family members and caregivers about the patient’s treatment plan.

• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and manage home health aide services when OT is the only skilled service provided.

• Assist with discharge planning as patients transition from home health care.

• Carry out additional duties as necessary for patient services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Valid California Occupational Therapy license.

• At least 2 years of clinical OT experience.

• Current CPR certification from the AHA.

• Possess a valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to patients' homes.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
