Occupational Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Strategically plan, organize, and provide occupational therapy services to enhance student development, rehabilitation, and achievement of IEP goals.

• Exhibit consistent and punctual attendance.

• Assess student capabilities in areas such as oral motor, sensory motor, daily living activities, fine motor skills, and postural abilities.

• Choose and conduct suitable assessments.

• Deliver direct, consultative, and cooperative therapy services.

• Engage in IEP meetings and assist in formulating student goals and service plans.

• Acquire, adjust, and document necessary adaptive equipment and supplies.

• Educate and assist staff, parents, and students in therapeutic and follow-up practices at both school and home environments.

• Provide training for staff regarding the handling, positioning, and operation of adaptive/assistive devices.

• Ensure precise documentation and record-keeping.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active (or eligible) Occupational Therapist license in Alabama.

• A Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience in school settings or with pediatric cases is preferred, but not mandatory.
