Nurse Trainer and Assessor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Providing a range of both practical and theoretical training and assessments to healthcare professionals.

• Training encompasses, but is not limited to, topics such as manual handling, basic life support, and medication administration for care workers.

• Includes HISS courses for NDIS staff covering PEG feeding, Epilepsy & Midazolam training, Diabetes and Subcutaneous injection, Bowel and Bladder management, wound care, and other healthcare-related programs as needed.

• Trainers receive support through detailed session plans and extensive resources before delivery.

• Assessment duties may involve practical observations as well as evaluating theoretical assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid TAE40116 or TAE40122 qualification or nursing training/educator experience.

• Current AHPRA registration is required.

• Must be a qualified RN (nurses with current experience in acute care, aged care, or disability support/NDIS will be highly valued).

• Experience in instructing courses such as Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, and medication administration for care workers.

• National Police Clearance is necessary.

• Covid-19 vaccination certificate is required.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Must reside in Australia and possess full working rights.

• Comfort with using technology for delivering courses both virtually and in-person is required.
