This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Manages procurement and contract activities throughout the entire lifecycle of contracts related to engineering, design, fabrication, testing, manufacturing, and/or construction, adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Executes assigned tasks which may include, but are not limited to, planning, prequalifying bidders, creating bidder lists, developing bid solicitation packages, conducting bid analyses, negotiating terms, administering contracts, managing changes, and facilitating contract closeout.
• Drafts, assesses, negotiates, and finalizes contracts.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for all contractual issues.
• Offers advice on contract-related matters to project managers and other operational personnel.
• Collaborates with legal and finance teams to review terms and conditions, ensuring that legal and other risks are effectively mitigated.
• A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is necessary.
• A Master’s degree and/or a Certified Purchasing Manager designation is preferred.
• An additional four years (totaling nine years) of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least five years of full-time experience in nuclear contract management within the nuclear sector is required.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
