
NSAH Support Specialist, Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 3:00 PM ET–11:00 PM ET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality assistance to individuals contacting the National Sexual Assault Hotline
• Implement crisis intervention best practices such as safety planning, brainstorming, and effective listening skills
• Participate in regular training sessions focused on serving NSAH users
• Respond to incoming crisis-intervention calls and online chats
• Provide prompt and accurate support to NSAH users
• Collaborate with fellow NSAH hotline staff and contribute to quality assurance initiatives
• Facilitate and oversee online group chat services and sessions
• Attend mandatory monthly NSAH all-staff meetings
• Support NSAH-specific data collection by completing session assessments during each shift
• Must be literate and fluent in English
• Spanish fluency may be necessary for specific roles and will be evaluated as needed
• Must achieve a minimum typing test score of 35 words per minute
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience in social services, customer service, or a related field involving direct client support or crisis intervention
• Must be comfortable using instant messaging platforms and managing phone communication
• Ability to perform well under pressure and remain calm during high-stress situations
• Capability to work effectively in a remote setting
• Proficiency in Google Workspace applications
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check conducted by RAINN
