NPI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle from initial prototype development to mass production.

• Facilitate build readiness assessments and assist with trial builds on-site.

• Lead the resolution of issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures during production ramp-up.

• Serve as the main point of contact among R&D, Product Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners.

• Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and ensure their effective execution at the factory level.

• Track project risks, timelines, and deliverables across several simultaneous projects.

• Generate build reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.

• Assist in the onboarding and development of manufacturing partners.

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the NPI process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or project management within the consumer electronics sector.

• Practical experience with new product introductions and the production ramp-up process.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering change management.

• Proven experience working with EMS/ODM partners.

• Exceptional project management and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in both English and Mandarin.

• Experience with Bluetooth, audio, wearable, or wireless communication products.

• PMP certification.

• Experience collaborating with global cross-functional teams.

• Six Sigma certification.
