Norwegian to English OPI/VRI Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.

📋 Description

• Handle incoming calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the healthcare and medical industries.

• Ensure that all messages are conveyed accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Engage in internal professional training programs.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in interpretation from Norwegian to English.

• A high-speed, private, and secure internet connection is essential.

• Minimum download speed of 20 Mbps (megabits per second).

• Minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps (megabits per second).

• A wired internet connection with an Ethernet port (Wi-Fi is not permitted).

• Operating system must be Windows 10.

• Computers should have a dual-core, 2 GHz processor, such as an Intel Core i5 or better.

• A minimum of 8 GB RAM is required.

• A single device (computer or laptop) capable of running the necessary systems.

• Use a noise-cancelling, wired headset featuring a built-in microphone (wireless/Bluetooth headphones are not acceptable).
