This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Achieve regional net revenue goals while effectively managing expenses.
• Identify, prioritize, and capitalize on significant commercial revenue prospects.
• Convert Business Unit vision and strategies to motivate, engage, and align Sales teams.
• Enhance brand performance and connect with customers to gain market insights.
• Spearhead regional sales strategies, assess pull-through effectiveness, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate in a compliant manner with marketing and cross-functional teams on strategy, planning, meetings, thought leadership, and pull-through initiatives.
• Support national and regional meetings, providing insights and leadership to brand teams.
• Contribute to incentive compensation planning and oversee regional communication and implementation.
• Participate in conventions, congresses, speaker programs, and insight dinners; perform field rides.
• Share best practices with RBD peers and promote communication across the organization.
• Mentor team members, document growth objectives, manage performance, and cultivate team culture.
• Lead and mentor Area Business Managers and sales representatives.
• Conduct field rides to gather customer insights and evaluate talent and capabilities.
• Manage regional culture, engagement, retention, and communication.
• Oversee compliant regional HR processes, including hiring, goal setting, reviews, compensation, bonuses, talent planning, and performance improvement strategies.
• Support the execution and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Advocate for Pfizer’s Purpose Blueprint, Ambitions, Bold Moves, and Values.
• Supervise colleague development platforms like StepUp and Leadership Lab.
• Lead Business Unit operational initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing business effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Over 15 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience.
• At least three years of management experience leading a team.
• This role is primarily field-based; must be able to spend three days per week in the field from the RBD’s home location within reasonable time and cost constraints.
• A proven history of sales success and achieving organizational objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in matrix leadership, including guiding others in leadership positions.
• Experience in leading and developing organizations with diverse colleagues across various levels and responsibilities.
• Proven skills in performance management and talent development.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the last seven years disqualifies hiring.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical sector.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, including proficiency in analyzing sales data and call reporting software/applications.
• Strong communication capabilities.
• Exceptional facilitation skills.
• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is mandatory.
