This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the performance of networks and systems utilizing monitoring tools and software.
• Detect and resolve network and system issues, escalating when necessary.
• Execute basic configurations and deployments for systems and networks.
• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and modifications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications proactively.
• Relay network and system issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage in on-call rotation and address after-hours incidents as required.
• Create and meticulously record tickets to reflect time spent.
• Handle personal workload effectively while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.
• An associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.
• Experience with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.
• Understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Basic knowledge of server and operating system concepts, including both Windows and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• The successful candidate must pass criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks.
• Must comply with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements following employment.
