This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Assemble top-tier, diverse teams through effective talent acquisition, development, and succession planning.
• Achieve regional sales objectives while collaborating nationally to fulfill organizational goals.
• Promote team accountability, communicate and monitor KPIs, and address performance issues within the team.
• Cultivate a shared vision, establish clear expectations, empower team members, and optimize processes.
• Develop, implement, and manage a regional business strategy focused on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Area Business Leaders and cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and boost product demand among healthcare providers, key accounts, and Systems of Care.
• Participate as a member of the national leadership team to strengthen regional capabilities, business performance, team development, and organizational culture.
• Ensure that team responsibilities are executed with honesty, professionalism, integrity, and adherence to Novartis policies and the Code of Ethics.
• Advocate for regional budget allocation and maximize the utilization of face-to-face and Omni Channel resources.
• Create an environment that fosters idea generation, problem-solving, collaboration, experimentation, and learning from setbacks.
• Develop growth plans, support team advancement, and enhance performance.
• Leverage analytics platforms to inform decisions and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similar fields with large, geographically distributed sales teams.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a first-line sales management role.
• Strong critical thinking skills and an enterprise mindset.
• Experience leading field organizations through transformation, innovation, or growth is highly valued.
• Proven success in driving sales performance, leading cross-functional teams, and executing strategies in matrixed, multi-regional environments.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent while building committed teams.
• Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Experience in formulating and executing business and incentive plans in complex sales environments.
• Operational skills, financial and business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, and experience managing budgets.
• Must reside within the region or be within a reasonable commuting distance to a metropolitan airport.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geographic area.
• Capable of driving and/or flying within the territory.
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Desirable: proven leadership experience as a second-line sales manager.
• Desirable: cross-functional experience in market access, reimbursement, or account management.
• Desirable: knowledge of payer landscapes, buy and bill processes, and specialty pharmacy.
• Must adhere to customer credentialing standards for customer-facing roles, which may include COVID-19 vaccination requirements in certain settings.
