This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Lead the regional sales team by recruiting, nurturing, and retaining top talent.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance coaching to achieve team excellence.
• Drive the regional application of sales strategies to meet or surpass sales targets.
• Formulate targeted strategies for psychiatric and neurological markets.
• Identify regional opportunities and eliminate obstacles to team success.
• Encourage innovative sales tactics and best practices.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to guide strategic decisions.
• Hold the team accountable for executing sales strategies and achieving objectives.
• Regularly spend time in the field with each account specialist to observe and coach performance.
• Provide consistent performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Effectively manage regional budgets and expenses.
• Ensure adherence to Neurocrine policies, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain open lines of communication between field teams and headquarters.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 3+ years in first-line sales management typically gained through progressively responsible sales positions.
• Proven track record of successful sales, OR a Master's degree preferred AND 6+ years of experience as mentioned above.
• OR a PhD AND 4+ years of experience as described above.
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question the status quo.
• Capable of leading through uncertainty and providing the team with clear direction rather than seeking perfect answers.
• Knowledge of best practices in functional disciplines and related business concepts.
