This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and implement network architectures that effectively support Claranet's cloud operations, guaranteeing high availability and safeguarding data and communications.
• Oversee the configuration and upkeep of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure optimal performance of the infrastructure.
• Work in conjunction with security teams to establish defenses against cyber threats and maintain compliance with information security policies.
• Monitor the performance of the network, swiftly identifying and addressing issues before they affect operations.
• Perform regular audits of the network infrastructure to verify that all components function according to best practices and established parameters.
• Create and sustain comprehensive documentation of the network infrastructure to support the efforts of engineering and support teams.
• Recommend and implement ongoing enhancements to network architectures, ensuring solutions are scalable and capable of accommodating both company and client growth.
• Handle network-related incidents with a focus on rapid and efficient responses to minimize impact.
• Keep abreast of the latest networking technologies and trends, suggesting the adoption of new solutions when suitable.
• Offer technical support and consultancy for projects related to network infrastructure, ensuring that connectivity and security requirements are fulfilled.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networks, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or MBA in Networking, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, or similar areas is considered an advantage.
• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are highly sought after, including Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Fortinet certifications like NSE4 and NSE7, Juniper certifications such as JNCIA-Junos and JNCIP-ENT, along with cloud certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, and other equivalent certifications in networking, security, and infrastructure (such as Aruba and Palo Alto).
• Courses/Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or additional training in network administration, information security, routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, SD-WAN), NGFW firewalls, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, network virtualization, infrastructure automation, cloud networking, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Language Level: Proficiency in advanced English for technical reading, troubleshooting, vendor/TAC interaction, and participation in technical meetings.
• Specific Skills: Expertise in administering and troubleshooting enterprise network and security environments, firewall management, cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, and GCP), network automation, technical leadership, critical analysis, troubleshooting in complex settings, a consultative approach, and effective communication for interfacing with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
