Network Security Engineer – Cyber Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver Tier 3/Ops-level troubleshooting for intricate LAN/WAN environments.

• Oversee, configure, and sustain multi-vendor infrastructures with a primary emphasis on Cisco and Aruba systems.

• Guarantee high availability and optimal functionality of essential network pathways.

• Spearhead the analysis and execution of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure network assets.

• Employ Nessus/Tenable for risk identification; conduct Patch Vulnerability Adjudication (PVG).

• Administer Plan of Action and Milestones (PO&AM) documentation and assist with Security Control Assessor (SCA) requirements.

• Enhance workflows by utilizing automation tools such as Ansible and SolarWinds.

• Provide support for cloud-integrated networking (AWS) using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Networking: Extensive knowledge in Cisco & Aruba; LAN/WAN troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.

• Cyber Tools: Expertise in Nessus, Tenable, and the STIG hardening process.

• Compliance: Familiarity with government sector workflows: PO&AM, SCA audits, and PVG.

• Automation: Skilled in Ansible, Terraform (AWS), and SolarWinds for monitoring and orchestration.

• Active security clearance (or eligibility to obtain public trust).

• Relevant certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Aruba Certified Design Professional (ACDP), CISSP, or CEH.

• Proven experience in briefing senior government or corporate leadership on security posture.
