Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create, document, and implement an Illumio solution.

• Establish operational procedures for managing security policies within Illumio.

• Resolve issues associated with Illumio configurations.

• Design and deploy micro-segmentation solutions via Illumio segmentation policies.

• Develop and oversee security policies to reduce lateral movement of threats within the internal network.

• Analyze and map application dependencies and traffic flows.

• Identify and rectify network performance challenges.

• Ensure that deployments comply with regulatory requirements.

• Experience in automation and scripting (Python, REST APIs) for policy deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Generally requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.

• At least 8 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Proven experience in implementing and managing the Illumio Core product within an enterprise setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols and firewall technologies.

• Familiarity with micro-segmentation techniques and enforcement through a policy-based security framework.

• Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Linux systems is essential.

• 3+ years of experience with a BS, BA, or advanced technical degree is preferred.

• Illumio Certified Engineer (ICE) certification is advantageous.

• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications are preferred.
