Network Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist a substantial team of network engineers and technical project managers in executing a significant network technology refresh initiative for a prominent global financial institution.

• Collaborate closely with deployment engineers throughout the replacement of thousands of network devices, emphasizing the precision of management systems, inventory, and device specifications.

• Ensure that all necessary tools, systems, and artifacts, including monitoring systems and CMDB, are accurately updated.

• Validate data accuracy, completeness of configurations, and compliance with quality standards.

• Monitor open gaps or discrepancies and engage with responsible parties to guarantee timely resolution.

• Verify that corrective actions are implemented and properly documented.

• Act as the main daytime point of contact for inquiries, issues, and clarifications regarding tool updates and conversion quality.

• Address or escalate issues swiftly to avoid delays in workflow.

• Maintain a daily defect log documenting issues, responsible parties, remediation status, and closure timelines.

• Conduct quality assurance on equipment documentation to confirm that equipment is appropriately staged prior to shipping.

• Ensure that IPAM and NAC requests are submitted and approved in a timely manner for scheduled changes.

• Oversee JIRA for timely updates.

• Assist change managers in ensuring compliance with Service Now change requests, verifying proper templates and details.

• Support Project Managers as necessary in updating project documentation, workflows, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience configuring various network devices.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting network refresh initiatives and OS/configuration remediation.

• Cisco CCNA or equivalent certifications from Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Arista; CCNP is preferred.

• Familiarity with NAC, IPAM, network monitoring, and configuration management systems.

• Experience in change management, incident management, and CMDBs such as Service Now.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; JIRA experience is preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience.
