Network Ops & Observability Architect

Posted May 20

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and document the target-state observability architecture for "Greenfield," which includes technical configuration templates, dashboard structures, and telemetry polling logic for the client's chosen unified monitoring platform.

• Develop architecting alert thresholds, suppression rules, and dependency mapping to reduce false positives and mitigate alert fatigue within the Network Operations Center (NOC).

• Create provisioning templates and API integrations to guarantee that all sites transitioning from the migration factory are seamlessly onboarded into the target monitoring platform without the need for manual intervention.

• Work in conjunction with the ITSM/ITIL Architect during the design phase to implement automated alert-to-ticket routing logic, and collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager during deployment to ensure that NOC runbooks are compatible with the new telemetry model.

• Participate in architecture governance by engaging in architecture reviews, obtaining design approvals, and developing enterprise architecture standards, principles, and reference models. Work alongside cross-domain architects (security, application, platform) on integrated design decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Network Operations, Observability Architecture, or NMS Engineering within large-scale enterprise or service provider settings.

• Practical experience in delivering scalable monitoring templates and frameworks.

• Strong proficiency in contemporary unified observability platforms such as LogicMonitor, Datadog, SolarWinds, or Splunk, including expertise in network telemetry mapping.

• Advanced understanding of alert correlation, SNMPv3, NetFlow, and API-based data extraction techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to design effective alert suppression strategies that safeguard Tier 1 NOC teams from redundant or cascading alerts during complex network incidents.
