📋 Description

• Deliver continuous operational support and management for network environments, ensuring maximum availability, stability, and compliance with agreed service levels.

• Collaborate closely with clients to grasp operational needs, business priorities, and network support requirements, ensuring services are aligned with daily business functions.

• Conduct regular health assessments, audits, and operational evaluations of network infrastructure to pinpoint risks, incidents, and areas for enhancement.

• Maintain and support network configurations, documentation, and operational runbooks, ensuring their accuracy and readiness for operational and incident scenarios.

• Lead and engage in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for intricate network issues, ensuring prompt restoration and prevention of future occurrences.

• Perform network performance monitoring, capacity management, and utilization analysis to proactively tackle performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.

• Assist in change management initiatives, including validation, implementation, and post-change monitoring, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional operational teams (service desk, system administrators, security, and application teams) to provide integrated and coordinated support.

• Implement operational best practices, standards, and compliance measures to ensure consistency in processes and operational governance.

• Stay updated on contemporary network technologies and operational trends, suggesting enhancements that improve reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

• Offer daily guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering skill development, operational maturity, and knowledge transfer within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 6-9 years of experience in network consulting, design, and implementation, preferably in a client-facing capacity.

• Strong hands-on experience with FireMon, Check Point firewalls, and Zscaler platforms within a network security operations setting.

• Proficient in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Significant expertise in modern network technologies, including but not limited to SD-WAN, virtualization, cloud networking, software-defined networking (SDN), and network automation.

• Practical experience with network equipment from leading manufacturers, such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.

• Expertise in Ansible for the seamless automation of IP network configurations, optimizing the deployment and management of networking infrastructure.

• Proficient in Terraform to define and provision IP network resources, ensuring consistent and scalable network architectures.

• Knowledgeable in cloud networking technologies and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

• Familiar with network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate complex network requirements and propose effective solutions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Industry certifications from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc., are highly desirable.
