Network Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Support the design and implementation of network solutions for project-based initiatives, which include Cisco switches, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, as well as SD-WAN.

• Collect requirements and aid in defining project scopes while collaborating with senior engineers and the PMO.

• Offer assistance for customers' current network infrastructures, focusing on troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

• Engage in M&A activities by helping integrate networks, systems, and applications.

• Apply network security protocols, encompassing firewall policies, VPN configurations, and Wi-Fi 802.1x.

• Work alongside senior engineers and the PMO to carry out network projects and implement necessary network modifications.

• Assist with cloud networking initiatives in Azure and AWS, specifically in terms of connectivity and security setups.

• Keep network documentation up to date, including configurations and topology diagrams.

• Remain informed of industry trends and offer support and recommendations to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in network support, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience as a consultant, providing technical network solutions to clients.

• Practical experience with Cisco network switches, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies.

• Basic knowledge of cloud networking within Azure and AWS.

• Experience supporting M&A network integration efforts.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to handle both project-related work and ongoing support duties.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent professional experience.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
