This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for design planning, record creation, and capacity fulfillment across the U.S. and Canadian networks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to efficiently deliver service requirements to clients.
• Engage in communication and teamwork with internal customers and departments regarding capacity fulfillment updates.
• Oversee workload management, pinpoint critical issues, and prioritize daily tasks.
• Address and resolve obstacles and roadblocks in order flow to ensure deadlines are met.
• Take part in operations-related initiatives and assist with customer or network escalations.
• Design DWDM networks in alignment with Network Architecture standards and to accommodate future growth for networks and customers.
• Implement DWDM wave circuit designs for the core of the network.
• Create Engineering Design Packages for Operations staff.
• Provide timely updates to project managers and leadership regarding service deliverables and deadlines.
• Review capacity requests and clarify design-related questions with relevant departments.
• Maintain customer commitments and deadlines within the Zayo Salesforce or its successor system.
• Assist field operations in resolving provisioning issues and verify technical information.
• Open, forecast, and manage budgets based on service commitments.
• Obtain optical vendor quotes, order equipment, relocate equipment from inventory to the field, and draft scopes of work for installations.
• Manage the escalation process as required.
• Capable of meeting strict deadlines, managing multiple unpredictable tasks, and effectively resolving customer conflicts.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google applications and project management software.
• Ability to apply logical reasoning to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
• Familiar with optical systems such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, Cisco, Infinera, and Nokia.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, ServiceNow, Sitetracker equivalents, and telecom inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with Metasolv is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal-flow designs through fixed or flex-grid networks utilizing ROADM technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
• At least three years of experience in telecommunications and/or data networking.
• Relevant experience in Project Coordination within the Telecommunications sector.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• This position does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization, including OPT, TN, H1B, or any other work visa, now or in the future.
