Network Engineer II – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives in the design and execution of a global network infrastructure.

• Play a pivotal role in formulating operational standards while tackling intricate issues related to routing and data center fabrics.

• Guarantee scalability, reliability, and security within a multi-vendor landscape.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data models and functional requirements.

• Configure BGP and manage troubleshooting for complex peering relationships.

• Implement new hardware platforms and network features within the automation framework.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and the final point of escalation for production network concerns.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.

• Exhibit experience in IP network design and the implementation of scalable BGP routing architectures.

• Have a solid understanding of Data Center architecture, including CLOS Fabric and overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN.

• Experience in managing and troubleshooting multi-vendor environments such as Juniper, Cisco, and routing platforms like BIRD, FRR, and Cumulus.

• Demonstrate an understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns.

• Be a highly organized self-starter who is adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
