This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Set up, manage, and resolve issues related to secure VPN and network connectivity within AWS and customer settings.
• Oversee AWS networking infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, Network ACLs, and Transit Gateway.
• Troubleshoot intricate network problems involving routing, NAT, VPN tunnels, latency, and overall network performance.
• Continuously monitor network infrastructure to proactively identify and address potential issues that may affect system availability, security, or performance.
• Conduct network maintenance, implement configuration changes, perform firmware updates, and apply security patches while reducing service interruptions.
• Assist in the deployment and onboarding of new customer environments, which includes network configuration, firewall coordination, and validating connectivity.
• Collaborate directly with customer IT and technical teams to synchronize configurations and resolve network connectivity challenges.
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity using packet capture and network analysis tools like Wireshark.
• Employ infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and repeatable cloud network deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and runbooks while contributing to enhancements in network reliability, security, automation, and monitoring.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, particularly within hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficient in configuring and supporting AWS networking technologies such as VPCs, Site-to-Site VPN, Transit Gateway, subnets, and routing.
• In-depth understanding of IPsec VPN technologies, including IKEv1/IKEv2 and Phase 1 and Phase 2 negotiations.
• Experience in troubleshooting NAT, routing, and complex VPN connectivity challenges.
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, and fundamental network security principles.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting and packet analysis tools, such as Wireshark.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, capable of working directly with technical teams and clients.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies is preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare integration technologies like HL7 or FHIR is an advantage.
• Preferred certifications include AWS, CCNP, or equivalent networking/security credentials.
