This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take charge of the design, implementation, and upkeep of LAN/WAN infrastructure across global office locations, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
• Oversee the security of network services and systems, which includes managing firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate network issues, such as WiFi, VPN, and WAN problems, performing root-cause analysis and driving resolutions.
• Proactively monitor network health, identifying potential threats, analyzing anomalies, and leading responses to network incidents.
• Engage in the change management process for network infrastructure and applications, evaluating security and operational impacts.
• Maintain and uphold security compliance standards across network devices and tools, identifying deficiencies and suggesting remediation measures.
• Create and update technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and project documentation.
• Lead automation initiatives utilizing scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Serve as a point of reference for junior engineers, offering guidance and supporting their technical development.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support schedules, taking responsibility for escalated network issues when necessary.
• Robust hands-on network engineering experience with enterprise office network setups, including practical experience with Meraki and Cisco stacks.
• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs/Spanning Tree, firewalls, routing).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of AWS networking capabilities is advantageous.
• Acquaintance with ITIL practices and ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow) is preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools and low-code/no-code automation platforms.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across various systems and environments.
• Background in contributing to or leading automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong and effective communicator, capable of producing high-quality technical documentation and engaging confidently with stakeholders.
• Collaborative and reliable team player, able to support junior colleagues and work across different disciplines.
