Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Execute the configuration and commissioning of network infrastructure and associated devices throughout project execution.

• Set up, test, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and firewalls during the commissioning phase.

• Confirm network connectivity, routing, VLANs, redundancy mechanisms, and overall system integration.

• Offer remote assistance for offshore installations once connectivity is established.

• Develop, adjust, and sustain firewall policies and network configurations in line with operational requirements.

• Manage a high volume of network changes throughout the transition to offshore operations, which includes regular updates to firewall rules, routing, and network segmentation.

• Diagnose network-related issues and assist in incident resolution in partnership with project and operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including switch configuration, VLANs, routing, and troubleshooting.

• Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) or equivalent practical experience.

• Demonstrated experience with FortiGate firewalls and FortiOS administration.

• Experience in managing firewall policies, NAT, access control rules, and network security configurations.

• Capability to work independently during commissioning and site activities.

• Experience in supporting critical infrastructure, industrial, energy, or offshore environments is highly preferred.

• Nice to have:

• Understanding of industrial networking concepts and network segmentation.

• Familiarity with remote troubleshooting and support of operational environments.

• Experience in commissioning projects and brownfield environments where network changes must be meticulously managed.
