Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as an L2/L3 escalation engineer for intricate network incidents originating from the GSC / NOC team.

• Oversee and support cloud infrastructure, emphasizing Azure networking services and Azure AD management.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to firewalls, routing & switching, VPN connectivity, and network segmentation/security measures.

• Configure, manage, and support enterprise firewall solutions, including Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls and FortiGate Firewalls.

• Design and manage IP addressing and network topology, covering subnet masks, CIDR calculations, VLAN planning, and NAT setups.

• Maintain secure remote connectivity through site-to-site VPNs, client-to-site VPNs, and IPSec/SSL VPN tunnels.

• Develop and sustain network diagrams, technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Participate in major incident bridges (P1/P2) and lead root cause analysis (RCA).

• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Server teams during cross-domain incidents.

• Execute network changes in accordance with established change management protocols.

• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

• Implement and oversee network security controls and best practices to safeguard corporate and client environments.

• Ensure effective ticket management while adhering to defined KPIs and SLAs.

• Work with architecture teams to design hybrid infrastructure solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud systems.

• Conduct performance tuning, patching, and upgrades for network and associated cloud environments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in networking, cloud administration, or relevant IT infrastructure roles.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

• Expertise in cloud infrastructure support and Azure AD management.

• Strong foundational knowledge in TCP/IP, routing & switching, subnetting, VLANs, and NAT.

• Experience with Azure networking and VPN connectivity.

• Practical experience with at least one major firewall platform (e.g., Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls, FortiGate Firewalls).

• Familiarity with ITSM tools and structured incident management processes.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

• A team-oriented mindset with a readiness to mentor others.

• Proficient in ticket management and escalation procedures.

• Competence in KPI/SLA performance tracking.
