This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Diagnose and resolve BAU tickets pertaining to network-related issues, encompassing switching, routing, and application-level firewall controls.
• Operate within secure governmental environments, complying with stringent access controls, adherence to compliance standards, and following change management protocols.
• Oversee BGP routing configurations and troubleshoot peering challenges to maintain network stability and optimal path selection.
• Monitor and sustain IPsec tunnels for secure site-to-site connectivity, addressing concerns related to encryption, authentication, and tunnel stability.
• Address incidents that have been escalated by the service desk, performing comprehensive analysis and prompt resolution to restore services with minimal disruption.
• Plan and execute network changes and upgrades, such as firewall policies, routing revisions, wireless access point deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
• Supervise network performance and health through suitable tools, proactively identifying areas needing enhancement, patching, or capacity upgrades.
• Maintain and routinely refresh documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure that wireless network coverage and performance adhere to required standards, addressing issues related to interference, roaming, and security configurations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and government clients to guarantee that solutions are secure, scalable, and in accordance with business and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco Routers, Aruba switches, Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Solid understanding of enterprise switching protocols, including VLANs, Spanning Tree, HSRP/VRRP, and LAG.
• Proficient in configuring firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Experience in troubleshooting Voice and SIP call flows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SBCs; experience with Audiocodes is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with routing protocols.
• Required experience in configuring and troubleshooting IPsec site-to-site VPNs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and take responsibility for assigned tasks.

• A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are mandatory.
