Network Engineer

📋 Description

• Provide operational assistance for clients’ network infrastructures, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.

• Resolve escalated tickets related to complex operational challenges within client networks.

• Ensure the stability and compliance of clients’ existing networks through maintenance.

• Communicate daily with clients regarding the status of open tasks.

• Support projects focused on data network design, development, and implementation.

• Adhere to established processes and comply with Ascend’s quality standards for all tasks.

• Create documentation for client networks, which includes network diagrams.

• Collaborate with vendors to resolve support cases.

• Contribute to the mentorship and training of junior engineers.

• Take part in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of regular hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Network Engineering, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).

• Preferred knowledge of VoIP technologies.

• Experience with networking technologies from Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Ubiquiti.

• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts in Azure and AWS.

• Extensive understanding of network protocols, services, and monitoring tools.

• Required certifications include Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP, or Fortinet FCP, or equivalent professional experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
