Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Plan and assist in the development of network infrastructure and customer enterprise network solutions.

• Troubleshoot, implement, and manage network systems effectively.

• Provide Level III support for network issues.

• Develop and execute network security protocols.

• Establish and maintain optimal network performance.

• Create network configurations and establish connections.

• Diagnose and resolve network problems and outages.

• Conduct IP address audits.

• Design system configurations and oversee system installations.

• Define, document, and uphold system standards.

• Schedule upgrades to enhance performance.

• Configure routers as needed.

• Update data servers and network equipment regularly.

• Collaborate with network architects to optimize network performance.

• Complete related tasks that support information systems and organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in designing, troubleshooting, operating, and enhancing complex national large enterprise networks.

• Proven experience in designing, troubleshooting, operating, and improving large regional, national, or international carrier-grade SIP VoIP networks.

• Established record in designing, troubleshooting, operating, and enhancing large regional, national, or international Internet backbone or IP service provider access networks.

• Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with IP routing and switching, including VRF, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, Spanning Tree, DSCP, MP-BGP, MPLS VPN, VPLS Layer 2, VPRN Layer 3 Option A and B, and Pseudowire PtP.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise in carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure.

• Experience with hosted PBX platforms such as Metaswitch or Broadsoft.

• Familiarity with very-high CPS SBC clusters such as Sansay, Acme, or Sonus.

• Experience with endpoint devices including Polycom VVX, Cisco SPA and ATA, and Grandstream.

• Strong practical knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, and Adtran routers and switches.

• Ability to analyze Wireshark results to resolve complex SIP VoIP and IP internetworking issues.

• Competence in creating and modifying security policies on routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Willingness to work off hours, nights, and weekends when necessary.

• 5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience, and/or a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.

• Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, customers, and management.

• Ability to mentor and act as an escalation point for other team members.

• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and knowledge transfer.
