Network Engineer – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist in the administration and upkeep of LAN, WAN, and Datacenter networking environments.

• Set up, deploy, and troubleshoot networking hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless access points.

• Work with technologies including Cisco (Nexus, ACI), Palo Alto, F5 BIG-IP, and Arista.

• Handle daily operational tasks, which include: Incident investigation and resolution, Change requests, Troubleshooting and remediation, Performance monitoring.

• Engage in root cause analysis for network incidents and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Monitor network performance to ensure the high availability of production systems.

• Contribute to network infrastructure projects (implementation, upgrades, migrations).

• Support hardware and software upgrades as well as patching activities.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, network diagrams, procedures, and inventory.

• Adhere to network security best practices and assist with audit/compliance efforts.

• Take part in rotational on-call support for critical systems in a 24/7 environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network administration or engineering roles.

• Hands-on experience managing enterprise LAN/WAN environments.

• Practical experience in configuring and troubleshooting: Cisco (Nexus, ACI preferred), Palo Alto firewalls, F5 BIG-IP load balancers, Arista switches (nice to have).

• Strong understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, and firewall policies.

• Experience in supporting BAU operations and managing escalations.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance analysis.

• Knowledge of network security principles and compliance practices.

• Experience working in production environments with change management processes.

• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across IT teams and vendors.

• Availability for rotational on-call support.
