.NET and Azure Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design the application architecture (including .NET/C# backend and frontend functionalities) as well as the infrastructure architecture (Azure) that aligns with the strengths and capabilities of the current team.

• Develop necessary diagrams and documentation for both application and infrastructure.

• Provide education to team members (both in development and infrastructure) on contemporary application and infrastructure subjects as required.

• Lead the efforts in application development and conduct reviews as needed.

• Mentor and guide junior developers on best coding practices and design patterns.

• Assess third-party libraries, tools, and frameworks for potential integration.

• Implement and oversee application performance, scalability, and security measures.

• Collaborate with other senior team members to ensure features are delivered accurately and on time.

• Contribute to enhancing engineering processes and application performance through thoughtful improvements.

• Assist with releases and deployments, including troubleshooting production issues and alert management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in full-stack software development.

• Expert-level knowledge of .NET, C#, and SQL Server.

• Strong frontend development experience with Angular, Blazor, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to design and secure RESTful APIs (using JWT, OAuth).

• Comprehensive understanding of Azure services and the ability to select the appropriate service or configuration based on challenges and cost considerations.

• Experience with third-party API integration and working with message queues.

• Familiarity with event sourcing and other distributed architecture principles to maximize cloud resource utilization at scale.

• Background in application security, performance optimization, and scalability.

• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.
