Negotiator Analyst, Level I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Negotiating out-of-network (OON) medical claims valued at $10,000 and above.

• Gaining knowledge in the negotiation role and comprehending Usual & Customary (U&C) calculated rates along with benchmarking medical costs.

• Evolving in the role of a negotiator by collaborating with training staff and team members.

• Performing checklist workups and overseeing outbound communications through phone, fax, and email.

• Making outbound calls, establishing provider contacts, and interpreting production metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a medical claims environment with a proven track record.

• Strong grasp of benchmarking costs associated with medical services, supplies, and pharmaceuticals.

• Prior experience in handling phone calls in a medical provider or business office setting.

• Proficiencies in mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Coding experience, along with CMS and/or CPC Certification, is preferred.

• Skilled in Usual and Customary calculations and cost-benchmarking for drugs, supplies, and services.
