This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Execute installations, inspections, verification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance for products.
• Provide advanced field service support for platforms and software.
• Analyze technical data, identify trends, and manage escalated cases.
• Maintain and present technical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Address product issues through comprehensive analysis and engineering knowledge.
• Oversee team schedules to ensure effective resource allocation for installation, service, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Fulfill or surpass customer expectations through adept customer management and technical skills.
• Manage customer complaints and coordinate with relevant authorities or departments.
• Foster continuous technical skill enhancement of regional service teams.
• Provide insights to Product Support Engineers for product and process enhancements.
• Lead the introduction of new products via customer soft-launch initiatives.
• Engage in the development and delivery of technical training.
• Coordinate expert company resources for installation or service operations.
• Take part in special projects.
• Complete required company and product training to maintain certification.
• Conduct Remote Performance Reviews.
• Offer escalated-case troubleshooting and remote regional support.
• Mentor the team and evaluate individual and team performance.
• Travel domestically around 50% of the time.
• Must be located in the Mountain or Pacific time zone.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Information Management.
• One year of experience in engineering or field service-related roles involving medical devices.
• One year of experience with medical linear accelerators or microwave RF systems and computer networks.
• One year of experience applying electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineering principles to troubleshooting without complete technical documentation.
• One year of experience using test equipment and hand tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Capability to complete company and product training to maintain certification.
• Willingness to travel domestically 50% of the time.
• Covid-19 vaccination, including any required booster(s), is mandatory if the role necessitates onsite presence at Brainlab customer locations, subject to legally permissible exemptions.
