This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement strategies to enhance Skylight's market share across Walmart and Sam’s Club on a national scale.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers, possessing in-depth knowledge of their internal systems and processes, particularly Walmart's online portals, tools, Retaillink, Circana, and other operational platforms.
• Develop and execute comprehensive business plans aimed at attaining revenue and unit objectives.
• Play a significant role in the implementation of go-to-market strategies, ensuring ongoing tracking, reporting, and necessary adjustments.
• Oversee daily communications and negotiations with retailers, manage new product launches and in-store execution, create performance scorecards, construct exclusive bundles or SKUs, prepare sales reports, implement process enhancements, and lead customer meetings.
• Manage the primary retail P&L, including pricing, discounts, pallet/display production costs, marketing expenses, and all related account expenses, while supporting Skylight's profitability goals.
• Effectively utilize internal resources (e.g., finance, marketing, operations) to maximize opportunities with Walmart and Sam’s Club.
• Collaborate with the Sales Coordinator to ensure accurate demand planning forecasts and timely submission of purchase orders.
• Handle multiple projects involving cross-functional teams with competing priorities, developing and monitoring project schedules and timelines to identify and achieve critical milestones.
• Provide insights on market trends, the organization's competitive standing, customer programs, etc., to inform program and service strategies for customers.
• 3–5 years of major account management experience, including direct responsibility for the Walmart relationship (required).
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where priorities can change, decisions are impactful, and there is no reliance on process to guide actions.
• Strong skills in strategic planning and execution — capable of developing a plan, rigorously testing it, and converting it into revenue-generating activities.
• Exceptional at building relationships and communicating effectively, comfortable engaging with senior retail partners and cross-functional internal teams (Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing).
• Extensive experience in utilizing retail and operational data to drive decisions, including forecasting, inventory management, and performance analysis (e.g., Retail Link, Circana, 3PL systems, Connect, Google Sheets).
• Proficient in translating customer-specific data into clear recommendations and trade-offs.
• Ability to balance customer needs with Skylight's objectives, and comfortable declining requests (or suggesting alternatives) when the trade-off does not align.
• A clear and concise communicator who can simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
