This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Identify and oversee influencers, endorsers, promoters, key decision-makers, and specifications in collaboration with existing main contractors.
• Cultivate new business opportunities with Tier 1 contractors on a national scale.
• Secure project specifications and sales prospects through the establishment of commercial relationships and diligent project tracking.
• Foster and maintain connections with architects/specifiers, Tier 1 and regional contractors, quantity surveyors, cost consultants, subcontractors, and industry organizations.
• Utilize persuasive techniques and closing strategies to secure specifications and enhance sales opportunities.
• Raise awareness about the VELUX Commercial product range by delivering company presentations and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
• Keep CRM records and customer information up to date, with an emphasis on pipeline development, opportunity tracking, and win rates.
• Perform site visits and surveys as necessary, including working at heights.
• Enhance VELUX Commercial's standing in the commercial market.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve company objectives, targets, and strategic aims.
• Monitor market potential and share sales leads and opportunities with colleagues.
• Strong technical and commercial foundation with in-depth product knowledge.
• Proven experience working with Tier 1 and major main contractors.
• Direct involvement in project sales and overseeing the sales process from start to finish.
• Competence in reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings and plans.
• Experience in presenting solutions and conducting CPDs for clients.
• Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish professional relationships across all levels.
• Highly organized with outstanding planning and prioritization abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and a collaborative team-player mindset.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Glenigan or similar platforms.
• Full UK driving license.
• Desirable: experience with CRM systems.
• Desirable: familiarity with current building regulations.
• Desirable: experience in roof construction, facades, and glazing.
• Desirable: strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to conduct site visits and surveys, including working at heights.
