This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for various projects.
• Understand and oversee the work program to ensure estimates are finalized before deadlines.
• Conduct field take-offs and evaluations to assist in estimate preparation.
• Cross-reference multiple project documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Engage in the estimate review process with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support construction staff throughout the project lifecycle by tracking and clarifying the basis of cost estimates.
• Aid in the creation and submission of change orders.
• Follow up at the conclusion of a project to finalize any outstanding items in the estimating process.
• Conduct thorough analyses of contract documents and specifications for medium to large hard bid/lump sum projects to ascertain overall project needs.
• Take ownership of medium to large estimates or specific components of larger estimates, ensuring accountability for that particular scope of work.
• Finalize cost estimates by incorporating all labor, equipment, material data, pricing documentation, overhead, and profit margins, leading to a complete bid submission.
• Identify associated risk factors, including monitoring published addenda that may affect the original project scope.
• Complete a full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials.
• Recognize and understand trade scopes, effectively communicating any gaps or missing information.
• Collaborate with the sales development and project management team to formulate site logistics, schedules, and execution plans.
• Review current material and construction equipment pricing to ensure bid validity and address price escalation in line with project requirements.
• Assist or lead the preparation of final bid documents for client submission to adhere to contract deadlines.
• Support estimating efforts across multiple office locations.
• Maintain data within E2 Optics' systems.
• Interpret and understand blueprints.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• RCDD certification is preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in estimating large-scale new commercial construction projects, including mission-critical data centers and structured cabling projects, is preferred.
• Experience in the Structured Cabling/Low Voltage industry is required.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam is REQUIRED.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Proven capability to design, engineer, estimate, and develop both written and graphic representations of the company's proposed solutions using the software resources provided.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines.
