This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance Tilt Collective’s strategy in the US to pinpoint the most crucial levers of change, prioritize effective approaches, and define the necessary ecosystem for success.
• Clearly and concisely communicate Tilt Collective’s US strategy in a manner that resonates with donors and various other audiences.
• Conduct proactive outreach across different segments of the food systems landscape, gathering insights from the environment, health, consumers, farmers, and other stakeholders to formulate an impactful strategy.
• Collaborate with Tilt Collective's leadership team, along with other country/region leads and thematic program leads, to uncover cross-learning and opportunities that traverse multiple markets.
• Assess a variety of potential US grantees and initiatives across diverse fields such as health, economy, food security, climate, animal advocacy, and water.
• Oversee the process of obtaining grant approvals, engaging with our Leadership Team and Grants function to ensure proposals align with organizational standards.
• Offer continuous support and strategic guidance to grantees throughout the grant execution phase.
• Establish and ensure the implementation of directed networks, creating coordination mechanisms to align grantee activities towards shared objectives.
• Identify existing gaps within the ecosystem and explore opportunities to address them, potentially through grantmaking.
• Engage with philanthropic entities and grant-making organizations to bolster fundraising efforts, in collaboration with our fundraising team.
• Assist in enhancing the visibility of our US program and positioning Tilt Collective as a key delivery partner among donors.
• Extensive and proven professional experience in climate and health, particularly related to food systems.
• Background may include roles in government, private sector, civil society, or philanthropic contexts, with a preference for pertinent experience in philanthropy, advocacy, and/or civil society environments.
• Expertise in crafting high-level strategies and translating them into actionable plans, with a strong emphasis on impact.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with partners and grantees.
• Experience in engaging donors, preferably within a philanthropic environment.
• A robust network within civil society, donor, and business stakeholders in a relevant national context, along with a solid reputation in the sector.
• Capability to navigate various disciplines or fields related to food system transitions (environment, health, agriculture, animal rights, social development, food security, and consumer issues).
• Flexibility and effectiveness in adapting to a dynamic and evolving landscape.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative working culture.
• Ability to work within a virtual remote team, as well as in-person when necessary.
