This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Manage substantial quantities of files and time-sensitive materials related to transaction matters.
β’ Apply underwriting standards and guidelines within authorized limits to underwrite title insurance issuance.
β’ Offer guidance in executing real estate settlement services.
β’ Provide underwriting assistance, advice, and authorization to company staff, agents, and clients regarding the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
β’ Establish underwriting standards and guidelines in alignment with the company's established procedures.
β’ Capability to cultivate, develop, and sustain professional and cooperative working relationships.
β’ Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex legal documents.
β’ Ability to apply logic or legal principles to a diverse range of complex issues.
β’ Familiarity with the title insurance industry, including its products, policies, and endorsements.
β’ Juris Doctor; current and active member of a State Bar.
β’ Over 10 years of experience as a Commercial Underwriting Counsel.
β’ Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and real estate terminology.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
β’ Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
β’ Acute attention to detail and organizational skills.
β’ Proficient in various computer software systems, including Microsoft Office.
β’ Eagerness and capability to learn and utilize new software systems.
