National Commercial Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, attorneys, and sales representatives involved in commercial transactions.

• Evaluate title insurance products including commitments, pro-formas, policies, and endorsements, with the assistance of the in-house legal team or agency counsel when required.

• Collaborate with Buyers, Sellers, and Lenders to facilitate the clearing and closing of National Transactions.

• Support coordinators in the preparation of invoices for National Deals.

• Engage with the business development team as necessary.

• Assist with potential overflow related to settlement statements.

• Manage transactions with frequent interaction among all parties involved in a commercial transaction.

• Work closely with local and/or agency counsel on intricate underwriting issues and High Liability approvals.

• Oversee pipeline management, ensuring that critical dates and follow-ups are adhered to.

• Coordinate the delivery of executed documents for recording and post-closing activities.

• Identify title defects and collaborate with clients and, if needed, in-house or agency counsel regarding insurability.

• Communicate with clients to gather missing documentation and/or clarify information.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7+ years of relevant transaction experience.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Proficient in effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Excellent spelling and comprehension of language.

• Capability to organize and prioritize work tasks efficiently.

• Self-motivated to initiate work and pursue personal development.

• Ability to perform well under deadlines.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with others.

• Demonstrated proficiency in essential computer applications, including Microsoft Office software products.

• Experience with SoftPro Select is preferred, but not mandatory.
