• Develop the overall business by acquiring and managing National Chains (such as Whole Foods, Sprouts, The Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme, etc.)
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and devise comprehensive retail marketing and promotional strategies to enhance sell-through rates.
• Ensure a remarkable product launch and establish a solid foundation for national success in the years ahead.
• Formulate strategies for effective launches, promotional calendars, and cost-efficient retailer programming within National Chains.
• Assess plans and promotional histories to analyze trade spending/ROI, increasing profitability while boosting sales.
• Identify new distribution opportunities, oversee the onboarding process for new national accounts, and collaborate with distributor partners to ensure timely item setup and purchase orders are fulfilled.
• Drive SKU additions and door count through relationship building and innovative presentations to retailers, ensuring expansion to all doors within existing retailers.
• Maintain relationships with national chains by engaging with key stakeholders to promote additional SKUs, facings, placements, and other growth opportunities for hint volume.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain strong connections with buyers, brokers, and distributor account managers.
• Develop strategies and priorities for third-party merchandising partners to execute sales and marketing plans that enhance sales at the store level.
• Analyze market data, sales reports, and business performance metrics to provide timely and accurate forecasts that meet production lead times and implement strategies to drive sales growth.
• Report directly to our VP of US Sales weekly regarding retailer status, focus, and forecasting.
• Create consistent presentations for the leadership team about account priorities, goals, strategies, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with our trade marketing team to organize marketing activations and develop POS materials that boost brand awareness, as well as coordinate key programs related to your accounts.
• Manage and oversee the budget approval process.
• Participate in semi-weekly sales calls to showcase successes, discuss challenges, and understand company-wide strategies.
• Attend trade shows and other industry events.
• 2-4 years of experience engaging with buyers and brokers from at least two National Chains (Whole Foods and Sprouts).
• 8-10 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
• A passion for TRIP and motivated by the mission to help 1 Billion people find their Calm.
• Enthusiastic and comfortable operating within an early-stage company.
• Ability to think quickly in a dynamic environment while achieving sales targets.
• Initiative and the capacity to work independently – a self-starter who sees tasks through to completion.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and ask insightful questions to uncover solutions.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, and project management, alongside excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication, and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
• Familiarity with team collaboration tools like Slack and various video conferencing platforms, depending on partner preferences.
• Must be available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for special events and trade shows.
• Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance.
