This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• The National Account Manager is tasked with meeting sales targets for Arrow Tool Group’s complete product range across hardware, distributor, and professional user sectors.
• Collaborating with Hardware Merchants, the National Account Manager is expected to strengthen the strategic supplier relationship that provides Arrow Fastener with a distinct competitive edge and a leading market share.
• This role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth for both our clients and Arrow by offering customer-inspired solutions while implementing internal sales and marketing strategies on both regional and national scales.
• Establishing and nurturing existing customer relationships regionally and nationally, as well as creating new customer connections to fulfill our growth objectives.
• Develops the company’s go-to-market strategy and drives demand for our products at the professional level.
• Cultivates and advances partnerships with key dealer and retail customers, formulating strategies for value propositions and product penetration, while collaborating with these customers to create pull-through opportunities.
• Enhances profitability, product penetration, product mix, and inventory turnover for all clients within their designated portfolio.
• Evaluates market size, product opportunities, and key regions for designated customer segments to shape Arrow’s sales strategy.
• Oversees the MRO aspect of the business to boost brand awareness and drive sales.
• Guides sales representatives in identifying and prospecting new sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, optimizing sales efforts by concentrating on the largest and most profitable prospects.
• Collaborates with senior management to explore new sales opportunities and channels.
• Participates in joint sales calls with sales representatives to uncover opportunities and maintain/build customer relationships, including coaching and mentoring for sales representatives.
• Attends regional and national trade shows to showcase and sell products.
• Organizes and participates in union and apprentice training on new products.
• Accountable for establishing annual budget goals, both internally and externally.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales; prior experience in hardware product sales is highly preferred.
• Proven success in selling to home improvement, building, maintenance, and facilities contractors.
• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Established history in enterprise account management or a similar role, preferably within hardware retail and/or distributor channels.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite.
• Ability to prepare reports, presentations, charts, schedules, procedures, and other necessary data.
• Advanced creative skills, resourcefulness, and perseverance are essential to thrive as a Key Account Manager.
• Critical thinking skills are necessary to identify the best strategic approach for budget management and effective resource utilization within Arrow Fastener.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks, possess strong attention to detail, and maintain organization are all crucial for success in this role.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to engage with all levels of the organization.
• Strong ability to function within a team environment.
• Must be willing and able to travel at least 25% of the time.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
