This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver operational support for MySQL databases within a delegated/managed services framework, encompassing both production and non-production environments.
• Take ownership of all database-related incidents via the assigned ticketing, monitoring, and communication platforms, ensuring round-the-clock coverage (24/7 for production).
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, including challenges related to:
• - database availability
• - data replication
• - performance and overall system functionality
• Adhere to applicable service levels (SLAs), including response and resolution times based on incident severity.
• Provide support for non-production environments during business hours, including monitoring and managing operational requests.
• Execute specialized interventions upon request, such as:
• - installation and upgrades of MySQL databases
• - application of patches
• - configuration adjustments
• - database migrations or enhancements
• Offer technical database expertise to internal teams.
• Uphold service levels in line with contractual obligations, ensuring traceability, intervention tracking, and compliance with established procedures.
• Extensive experience in MySQL administration within production settings.
• Capability to function in critical environments with stringent SLAs.
• Background in operational support and incident management.
• Proficiency in the following areas:
• - MySQL replication
• - Backup and recovery processes
• - Performance and availability optimization
• Ability to perform in a support capacity (not in a development role).
• Willingness to be available for 24/7 on-call duties.
• Capacity to respond to a critical incident within 15 minutes.
• Proficient in French (both spoken and written).
• Ability to work in a setting that adheres to government security protocols, which includes:
• - Holding or being eligible to obtain a valid security clearance/attestation
• - Mandatory participation in information security training
• - Compliance with confidentiality standards and signing of necessary agreements.
